All IN Music & Arts Festival 2023: Where to Go and What to Know

All IN Music & Arts Festival 2023: Where to Go and What to Know

Musical diversity is the name of the game in Indy, whether you like listening to local artists jam or want to rock out with national headliners. Nothing is going to bring the city’s music scene to life this year like the second ALL IN Music & Arts Festival.

The festival’s inaugural run in 2022 brought the city such notable headliners as John Fogerty, Hall & Oates and Cage the Elephant – and it’s back, bigger and bolder than before! If you’re looking for a different kind of music festival – one that prioritizes the emotional experience music can bring – this is something you don’t want to miss.

This two-day event is a Hoosier’s dream come true, with tons of fine food, handcrafted brews, a beer garden and even a signature drink representing all of Indiana’s incredible home-grown hospitality. It is truly an elevated experience in a fantastic environment, and provides visitors a chance to explore cutting-edge musical performances in a safe and pleasant environment that is also welcoming to children.

Where Is It, and How Do You Get Tickets?

Okay, let’s get down to the basics you need to know if you’re planning to attend:

  • Date and Time: Saturday, Sept. 9, 2023 – Sunday, Sept 10, 2023

  • Location: Indiana State Fairgrounds, 1202 E. 38th St., Indianapolis, IN
You can purchase tickets for one or both days, as the artists will be performing their sets before a limited capacity audience of around 7200 guests. This fun festival prides itself on being the “most convenient, easy and comfortable music festival in America.”

With that in mind, you’ll find it incredibly simple to get to the festival. Advance parking tickets are available for purchase, but you can also take an Uber or Lyft or have a friend drop you off and pick you back up right at the gate. If you’re staying for the entire weekend, you may want to check out some of the local hotels nearby or purchase passes for tent, car or RV camping.

General admission tickets for adults are only $114.50 for a day and $209.50 for the entire weekend. If you feel like splurging on a VIP pass, however, you’ll get premier parking, access to air-conditioned VIP restrooms, access to the Indoor/Outdoor VIP Club Lounge and reserved seating, among other nice perks.

What Else Should You Know?

You’ll find plenty of comfortable seating around both the indoor and outdoor concert stages, but all the headliners will perform inside the air-conditioned Indiana Farmers Coliseum. The arena setting and world-class production system keep the sound from each set contained so that the artists on the outside stage don’t have to struggle to be heard over the bleed-through from inside. This creates an optimal experience for everyone − attendees and artists alike.

In addition to music, food, drinks and fun, the festival also features an array of vendors and visual artists for you to explore. When you aren’t dancing or just chilling to the tunes, you’ll find plenty of fascinating activities all around you. The festival is also ADA accessible and has permanent restroom facilities and free water refill stations, among other creature comforts. Everything is designed to make it easy to relax and just let go of everything but the sounds around you.

Who Is Going to Be Playing?

Prepare to be swept away by an incredible lineup of performers, representing all different genres and generations – which means that there’s something for everybody.

From the soulful melodies of Trey Anastasio & Classic Tab to the vocal harmonies and comedic prowess of Jack Black and Kyle Gass (the talent behind Tenacious D), the stage will come alive with diverse sounds that resonate with both classic and contemporary music aficionados.

Among others, Joe Russo’s Almost Dead and Umphrey’s McGee are set to create electric moments that will reverberate through the crowd. Meanwhile, Greensky Bluegrass, Hyryder, Trombone Shorty & Orleans Avenue, Eggy, Neighbor, Cory Wong, Andy Frasco & The U.N., The Main Squeeze, Karl Denson’s Tiny Universe, Quinn Sullivan, Karina Rykman, Diszgo and Pushing Daisy’s Band round out the lineup – and there may even be more surprises in store.

Don’t Forget About the Dreamsets!

There will also be two extra-special “Dreamsets,” one celebrating Led Zeppelin the first night and the Beatles the next – but don’t call these “cover bands” or “tributes” because they’re not.

Dreamsets are groups of cross-generational (and mixed genre) performers who come together to jam out to an iconic catalog of music by inspiring artists. They honor the music of the past while letting it inspire them to new musical reflections. Each set is as unique as the group of artists who take the stage and will never be repeated – making this truly a once-in-a-lifetime event that you simply can’t miss.

The All IN Music & Arts Festival is not merely a singular musical event – it’s a testament to the power of music and diverse culture to bring people together!  As attendees gather to revel in the rhythms and melodies, they become a part of a budding tradition that will be cherished for years to come. This festival really isn’t just a moment in time, but a legacy in the making.
